After nearly a year of continuous effort by the Iran International Exhibitions Association, in collaboration with the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, the national exhibition center rating initiative has been successfully implemented, resulting in six exhibition centers being awarded the “International Grade A” classification.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Iran International Exhibitions Association, this program—one of the Association’s strategic projects over the past two years—was developed following a comprehensive review of the licensing system and expert assessments conducted by the Trade Promotion Organization, which ultimately led to its official execution.

Rahim Jalili, President of the Iran International Exhibitions Association, announced the achievement, stating that the Trade Promotion Organization has taken a significant step toward standardizing Iran’s exhibition industry by establishing the necessary infrastructure for the evaluation system. He added that among its key initiatives were assigning ISIC codes to exhibition activities and defining a unified framework for identifying and assessing the operational performance of exhibition centers nationwide. Based on this framework, evaluations were carried out using precise data, verifiable documentation, and specialized criteria to more accurately reflect the true capacities of each center.

Jalili further explained that through this comprehensive and systematic evaluation, the performance of all member centers of the Association was assessed, and their licenses were issued at three levels—“International Grade A,” “International Grade B,” and “National”—based on indicators such as activity scope, domestic and international exhibitor engagement, infrastructure quality, and economic and regional impact. Six exhibition centers successfully met the standards required to obtain the “International Grade A” status.

Concluding his remarks, Jalili expressed appreciation for the strong cooperation and support of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, emphasizing that its strategic vision has played a pivotal role in achieving balanced growth across the country’s exhibition sector. He stressed that continued collaboration will undoubtedly strengthen international trade relations and enhance national exports through the expansion of specialized and international exhibitions.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition center rating initiative represents one of the Association’s flagship projects, marking a major step toward elevating Iran’s exhibition system and improving the quality of events at both national and international levels.
